Celestial Greens Apartment Owners’ Welfare Association (CGAOWA) was formed way back in the year 2006 and is registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act.

The members of the CGAOWA are primarily the owners of the apartments of Celestial Greens. It is mandatory for all owners to become members of this association by paying a membership fee of Rs. 500/-. New Owners of any building will also have to become members of the association.

Bye-laws and Guidelines have been frames by the Association to help with the administration.

A General Body meeting of the members is convened every year to elect a committee, discuss and approve the Accounts, discuss and approve the expenses and budget for the forthcoming year. The Committee will consist of a voluntary group of 4 members from each block (A, B, C, D). This 16-member committee once elected will have the authority and power for the administration of the the affairs of the association and also abide by the Bye-laws framed by the association. The members once elected can be on the committee for a continuous period of 3 years.

The committee elects a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer from among the 16 members once it is formed and this election is valid until the next Annual General Meeting. In the event of not being able to elect the full members of the group, the committee can co-opt other members who are willing to volunteer for the committee activities.

In order to provide focus on the various areas, the committee is also divided into sub-committees. Sub-committees are small teams of 2 to 4 members to look into various areas such as

  • Security
  • Housekeeping
  • Cultural and Sports
  • Electrical / Generator
  • Water Supply / Swimming Pool
  • Gardening and Landscaping
  • Finance

Members can exist on more than one sub-committee and this may be required when committee is not at its full strength of 16 members. The committee members will work with the Maintenance Manager and attend to any issues with respect to their area and follow it up to the finish.
